The Network is open to all parish musicians in the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese.  Network members support each other in their music ministry by sharing information, and getting together a few times a year.

The Network meets on three Sunday afternoons each year in March, June and September.

The topic for each meeting is set at the previous meeting, and the format varies, depending on the needs of members.  Each meeting generally includes some discussion topics and a music sharing session.

Meetings are generally held between 1pm and 4pm at the parish centre at The Junction.

On Sunday, September 26 2010, a Mass of Celebration for Parish Musicians will be held at the Cathedral.  The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael and will include a special blessing for parish musicians.

Prior to the Mass, a gathering and rehearsal will be held in the afternoon for those musicians wishing to play an instrument or be part of the choir for the Mass.
