EvenSounds
are a group of liturgical musicians from the parish of Wallsend-Shortland in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The talented trio of Catherine Blackford, Michael Somerville and Leanne Piller attended school together and have performed regularly at Church functions over the last several years, but it wasn't until Catherine started to write new music to supplement the group's repertoire, that the idea of a recording was born.
'Coming Home' is an album of hymns suitable for performance in church services. Some hymns are suitable for congregational singing and some are designed as reflection pieces.
All the songs have strong melodies and can be effectively performed acoustically by small groups of musicians.

Our debut album '
Coming Home' was launched in September 2005 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Shortland, where EvenSounds supply the music for weekly
church services.
Since then, EvenSounds have been busy sharing their music with parishes
around the Maitland Newcastle Diocese.
The CD's of the album have been
selling strongly, and the manuscript of the album is now available to
order.
